Turkey opens permanent embassy in Cambodia

Turkey has opened embassy in Cambodia in order to promote bilateral ties and cooperation between the two countries, Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Saturday.

The statement said that Ahmet Davutoglu, Foreign Minister of Turkey, worte to Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong that the first ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia started his term of duty on Nov. 1.

"Turkey has decided to open its permanent embassy in Phnom Penh after the Cambodia's general election on July 28 was organized in a smooth, democratic, free and fair manner," the statement said
