A Jersey City Police Officer has been found dead in Cambodia, according to city officials.
"The Jersey City Police Department received notification yesterday from the State Department that one of their own, Police Officer James Forrester, was found dead in Cambodia,” said city spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill. “At this time, we have no information about the circumstances of his passing. Right now, our thoughts are with the Forrester family, their friends, and the Jersey City Police Department as they deal with this sudden loss,” she said.
Forrester, 45, served in the East District. He had been with the Jersey City Police Department for 20 years, according to state pension records.
